Back when we first started installing roofs, 3-tab shingles were the standard. Now, the highly acclaimed architectural shingles are the roofing shingle of choice. Weather damage and overall wear-and-tear keep us busy upgrading the older, 3-tab shingles which tend to fail faster. The new and improved architectural shingles last a lifetime and the wind rating is doubled compared to 3-tabs!
