End of 2024 The Greater Value
Our Customers are really happy with their new roofs, siding and windows projects. As 2024 comes to an end we were quite struck by what we were doing. This week we had installed 2 roofs, put siding on 1 house, and finished a 14 window replacement job. After each completed job, I would meet with the homeowner to pick up the final check and answer any questions the owner might have about the work done. As usual, I was met with smiles and a check, maybe a question answered quickly, and then off to the next job. But wait, it was really impressed on me how happy the customers were. I heard things like, “It went so much better than I expected and turned out beautiful.” “The guys were so respectful and answered all my questions.” “I am so happy with the work you did.” I have gotten so used to this and was so focused on the doing of the work, and writing the contracts, and the ordering and scheduling part of the job that I took for granted the good we were doing. I know it sounds self-promoting, but all the customers were genuinely happy. Their homes had been vastly improved and it was so easy, from the contracting and deciding what to do, and then implementing the work. Excellent craftsmanship done in a timely manner. The roofs and the windows were done in a day and the siding job only took 4 days. Jobsites cleaned up well. Even magnets dragged to pick up any nails that may have been missed.
We of course are focused on the money side of things. Trying to work as many days as possible around the weather and materials being available. But as I picked up the check for the last job done , it hit me that our hard work and extra effort really was worth it. We were making people really happy by fixing up their homes and making them beautiful. We did win the 2024 NextDoor Favorite contractor this year, but still, it’s the work that I find so rewarding. This is the siding job, we did the roof 6 years ago and the customer called us back to do the siding. So Christmas bonuses for all and to all a good night. See ya in 2025!
